Using price tables in combination with catalogue prices
WinTree provides several options for determining the selling price. One of these options is the use of Catalogue prices. Based on a defined catalogue, the prices are determined for the customer. It is now also possible to use the catalogue prices in combination with the Price tables module. The defined price tables are calculated based on the catalogue price so that, depending on the amount, the customer is quoted the right price.
Contact TSD to discuss the various options of ‘pricing’ in WinTree, including catalogue prices with or without price tables.
Fixed discount for sales orders via web shop
Reward customers with a discount if the orders are booked in the web shop. This is now possible using a supplement that is defined with a negative percentage. This function requires the use of the Supplements module and the web shop will need to be modified for this purpose.
Are you interested in rewarding customers who book their orders via the web shop? Then contact TSD by sending an email to support@tsd.nl.
Stock lists that are used in web shops are protected with a password. Because these lists are refreshed frequently, it is not practical to constantly have to enter the password. Using parameter 2079, it is possible to suppress entering a password if WinTree has been started up in administrator mode.
Please also read issue 16642 in this What’s New document for information on the automatic refreshing of stock lists and catalogues.
Delivery alterations, more supplied than ordered increases amount in sales line
Via parameter 2096, it is possible to define whether an increased amount in the delivery alterations must be transferred to the sales order. With an increase, the corresponding allocation will also be increased. In that case, the amount in the allocation and the corresponding batch will be increased, irrespective of the status of the batch. Warning: properties of the allocation of deliveries must have already been set to automatic allocation.
Value of the parameter:
0=Not
1=Message with a question
2=Automatic transfer without a question.

Create a stock list via task whereby the defined selections are used
Stock lists are being increasingly used to transfer the stock to external systems like web shops. To keep the stock in the web shops up-to-date, the stock list will need to be refreshed at regular intervals.
It is now possible fro TSD to create a task that will refresh selected stock lists automatically. By performing this action a number of times a day, the stock in the web shop will remain up-to-date without the user needing to take any further action. When refreshing, all the settings of the stock list will be used.
Are you interested in automatically refreshing stock lists in this way? Then contact TSD by sending an email to support@tsd.nl.
Sorting of plant substitutes by grading on allocation
WinTree offers the option to make use of substitutes. The substitutes for the sold article are displayed in the allocation window. These substitutes can now be given a grading. By assigning a grading, it is possible to define which substitute is ‘the best’ one to be used. The grading per substitute is displayed in a separate column in the allocation window.
Are you interested in using substitutes? Then contact TSD by sending an email to support@tsd.nl.
Using an import profile (available if module 116 has been activated), it is possible to import the start stock quantities from an Excel file. For example, just before a season closure the stock can be exported from WinTree (TSD will have to make a separate export SQL command for this). Using the Excel file, the stock will be included again. After the season closure, whereby the stock is removed, the recounted stock can be imported from Excel.
Are you interested in this new function? Then contact TSD by sending an email to support@tsd.nl.
Supplying trees and plants is more than simply delivering the tree or plant itself. The customer is increasingly demanding that the article is accompanied by labels, covers or other accessories. The stock management of these accessories is therefore also becoming more important. Plants are often unable to be supplied if the accessory is not available. A particularly time-consuming task is the managing of the stock of photo labels on plant name. WinTree now offers a simple way to manage accessories stock.
The stock management of these accessories is based on four steps:
- Linking plant sizes to the sizes of the accessories, which can be defined per customer group.
- Linking non-standard accessories to contacts; by default the settings of the customer group are copied.
- Booking of the stock of the accessory on plant name and an ‘accessory size’.
- Writing off the accessory stock when processing the sales invoices.
Contact TSD if you intend to use this new function.
Maintain Stock: Batch information tab page is not modifiable
Using parameter 2097, it is possible to make the Batch information tab page unmodifiable. If this parameter is set to value 1, each modification of the batch must be carried out via the button [Options] -> Stock alterations.
Modification to the stock alteration window
In the stock alteration window (open via Maintain stock button in [Options]), it is possible to copy specific information to the next batch to be altered. The information to be copied is defined in the properties of the stock alteration window. These properties can be defined using the right mouse button -> Properties. As soon as the properties have been defined, an extra ‘Hold settings’ checkbox will appear on the screen. Make a multiselection from the lines that need to be altered. Modify the first line in the stock alteration window. Now tick the ‘Hold settings’ checkbox. Depending on the fields that have been ticked in the properties, every next line will now receive the same information as the previous batch. If information is modified halfway through a series of batches, the next batch will use the most recent information that was entered.
WinTree has a new programme enabling stock to be re-counted using a Windows tablet or Windows laptop. Using stock sets, the stock is transferred to the tablet in WinTree Nursery manager via email, the network or USB stick. This makes it possible to re-count the stock at the nursery (adding new stock is not possible!). The re-counted stock is then imported into Nursery manager. The re-counted stock is processed and a new stock is now available.
Do you want to re-count the stock using a tablet? Contact TSD if you want more information if you intend to use this new function.
Fill-up stock: reduce by reservation order
A reservation order can be selected in the Fill-up set on the Info tab page. When adding stock, the added sales lines that also appear in the reservation order are reduced in number by the part added. If a reservation line is lesser than or equal to 0, the reservation line will be deleted.
It is no longer possible to allocate on batches that have the status ‘On the way’.
Non-saleable article, extra checkbox in stock items
An extra checkbox is available in the stock so that an article can be set to Non-saleable This checkbox does not prevent an article from being booked. In the Order Entry window, a column can be added to display this setting per article. By making use of colours, the article can be given a different colour when the checkbox is ticked.
TSD will have to define the use of this checkbox. Contact TSD if you intend to use this new function.
Authorization: Adding and Deleting stock can be defined
Stock list: selection on batch photo
An extra selection has been added in the wizard for defining a stock list. This selection means that only those batches for which a photo is available can be included in the list. In the selection window there is a ‘Batch photo (Y/N)’ selection available. As selection criteria, enter Y for Yes and N for No. If no selection is made, this means that the stock list does not need to take any account of this.
Stock items: external order number available
Send an email to support@tsd.nl if you wish to make use of this export.
Automatic allocation extended by default supplier
The automatic allocation of sales orders has been extended by an option to fully automatically allocate on supplier offers. This method makes use of the default supplier defined for the article. In Maintain stock items, it is possible to select one supplier per article. Before a sales order is booked, it is possible to specify, via a checkbox, whether the order must be fully automatically allocated. During the booking of the sales line, WinTree® will check whether the article has a default supplier. If a supplier has been linked to the article, a check is made to see whether the supplier has a supplier offer available with sufficient stock. If there is sufficient stock, the purchase line will be inserted automatically without the intervention of the user.
This method will only function well if the purchase offers contain up-to-date stock information. To use this method, you must set parameter 2099 to the value 1. Using parameter 2098, the checkbox ‘Automatic allocation default supplier’ can be ticked automatically. The value 1 will cause the checkbox to be activated by default.
Assigning Transport purchase invoices to transports
When booking in purchase invoices from transporters, it is possible to assign the costs to a booked transport. After the purchase invoice has been processed, the assigned transport will be set to invoiced. An overview of the assigned transport costs can be generated by means of an export instruction.
Do you want to monitor your transport costs more closely? Then contact TSD by sending an email to support@tsd.nl.
Allocation: create a purchase order directly
Batches: determining PCP collectively
Using the menu Stock items -> Extra -> Determine default PCP, the default PCP for the stock items can be determined. A button [Maintain batch prices] has been added to this window. If you click on this button a pop-up window will appear. On the left-hand side you can specify which price must be considered as source. Here you have the choice of Cost price or PCP, and on the right-hand side you can choose the target price as well as the Cost price again and PCP. At the bottom of the window a factor percentage can be defined (100 = no modification) and/or a fixed amount.
After clicking on OK, the source price is extracted from the selected lines, multiplied by the factor and the fixed amount is added to it. The result will then appear as the target price.
Example:
Source price is Cost price, target price is PCP
110 is defined as the factor percentage, the fixed amount is 0,25.
For a batch with a cost price of 1,00, the PCP is then (1,00 * 1,10) + 0,25 = 1,35.
Booking purchases via allocation window: show sales price including supplement
Adding entry date and initials of employee
Using parameter 2132 (also possible via the properties window of the Maintain Contact window), the entry date and the initials of the employee can be made visible on the Contacts, Customer info-I and Supplier information-I tab page.
This date field can be used to make selections in Office Manager and when printing various contact lists.
Import amounts for Outstanding entries via Sage for the benefit of credit limit information
If Sage is being used as a bookkeeping programme, information about the outstanding entries can be exported via Sage. The export file can then be imported into WinTree. The outstanding amounts are then visible with the credit limit information in WinTree.
Contact TSD if you intend to use this new option.
Starting up in ReadOnly mode modified
It was already possible to open a history database in addition to the current season. By modifying the shortcut and a .ini file, it is now possible to open a second session of WinTree® without a warning being displayed. At the same time, with the modified start-up of the second session, the license used will be read in such a way that the available licenses can be better managed.
Are you interested in this modified start-up method? Then contact TSD by sending an email to support@tsd.nl.
Language selection in start-up window
When you start up WinTree®, a Dutch flag will be displayed in the top left-hand corner of the login window. If you click on this flag, four extra flags will be displayed. Select the flag for the language you wish WinTree® to start up in. Now close WinTree®. After re-starting, WinTree® will be opened in the language you selected.
In addition to Dutch and English, WinTree® can be started up in Italian, German and French. Please note that the German and French translations for WinTree® are not yet complete. Any translations that have not been completed will be displayed in English.
Selection of columns for export can be saved
Creating a letter in Nursery manager without the Office Manager programm
WinTree® Nursery manager has a new function to enable letters to be sent to clients without the WinTree® programme Office Manager. The letters can be
printed, faxed and emailed.
Are you interested in creating letters in this way? Then contact TSD by sending an email to support@tsd.nl.
Overview of authorisation per employee
In WinTree, it is possible to define permissions for each user. TSD can activate an export instruction so that the defined permissions can be exported to Excel for each user. The result is an overview in Excel containing a list of permissions per user.
Texts, default tab page can be defined
For entering headers and footers and email texts, the separate Header- and footer texts can be opened via several different menus. By default, the Header tab page will be opened here and can not be modified directly. Using parameter 2130, it is possible to determine which tab page must be opened by default and whether the text can be modified directly.
The parameter has the following values:
1=Header text
2=Footer text
3=Email text
4=Header text (modify directly)
5=Footer text (modify directly)
6=Email text (modify directly)
<<Ctrl>> + <<F>> search function
Using the key combination <<Ctrl>> + <<F>>, it is possible to search on text in an opened window. A pop-up window will be displayed in which a search text can be entered. As soon as a letter has been inserted, a search will take place, the more letters that are entered, the more accurate the search will be. The first row in which the entered text is found will be displayed. Using <<Enter>>, you can continue the search. If nothing is found, the search text will turn red. The search function can also be activated via the right mouse button, by clicking on Search. The search window can be closed using <<Esc>>.
Saving display for all users has been modified
To define modified window displays, the administrator of WinTree needs to log on. Then in the Extra menu, the Setting modus option must be selected. At the top of the title bar, the text ***Setting modus*** will appear. The administrator can then define a window display and/or colours for each window. If a specific display is saved as a default, all users in WinTree will have this display by default.
The users are still able to create their own modified display and save it as a default, but the display saved by the administrator cannot be modified. By default, the users will always have priority above the general display defined. After the administrator has completed modifying the various screens, you can close the Setting modus by selecting the Setting modus option again. The extra text in the title bar will now disappear.
Window for document choice when printing, faxing or emailing will continue to be shown
Via an opened window, it is possible to print, fax or email documents. If a document is chosen whereby no information is available to print, the window showing the document choice will remain visible on the screen. This enables the print settings to be modified more quickly so that the document can still be printed.
Retrieving patches automatically
Contact TSD (support@tsd.nl) if you intend to use this new tool.
Stand out with a newsletter? It is now also possible through a link between Office Manager and the online mailing software MailChimp. Make selections in the Office Manager and connect it in MailChimp mailing list as a well-formatted e-mail.
